Fernside launches a new look website!

After months of research, Fernside has launched a new website this week! The website features an all new design that incorporates the spirit and décor of Fernside.

In addition, visitors will find improved navigation, detailed listings, new photographs, a new bookings enquiry form and new links to a host of eateries, places to visit and local events. There are also links to Fernside's presences on Facebook and TripAdvisor.

Yorkshire Dales? There's an app for that ...

Hot on the heels of the smart phone app for Kettlewell comes a new application for the whole of the Yorkshire Dales.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park has developed the software that can beam information about the area to the palm of your hand.

Initially the app is focussed on the Malham and Hawes areas, though it is expected the app will be expanded to cover the rest of the Dales.

The app, which is free to download, includes a selection of information about the Dales, along with the details of several walks and cycling routes.

Local places of interest are detailed, along with a basic map.

The app is currently available for the iPhone only, although a version for other models is in development.

The app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store. For more details see www.godales.org.uk/go-dales/go-mobile.htm, where there is a link to the app store.
